Police said at least 12 people were killed and 19 others went missing in several landslides due to incessant rains in western Nepal.
Seven people, including three children, died due to landslides in Sarangkot and Hemzan areas of Pokhara town in Kaski district.
Police said five of them were killed as a house was washed away in Sarangkot area of Pokhara in the early hours of Friday.
He said about 10 people were injured in the same incident and are being treated in various hospitals.
Three separate members of a family were killed in two separate incidents of landslides on Thursday night in Bisshahar in Lamjung district and two others died in Athbiscot area of Rukm district.
Meanwhile, 12 people went missing after landslides washed away two houses in Jajorkot district. Seven people were inaccessible after their house was wiped out by a landslide in Mayagadi district.
Meanwhile, a landslide in the Jogimara region has disrupted the Prithvi Highway in western Nepal.
Narayani and other major rivers of the country have swollen due to the recession for the last 48 hours.
The Meteorological Department has forecast that monsoon rains will last for the next three days.
