Kathmandu The Ministry of External Affairs has clarified the statement of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who claimed to be Lord Ram and Ayodhya in Nepal. The Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that Prime Minister Oli’s statement was not related to any political subject. His intention was not to hurt anyone’s feelings nor to insult the importance and cultural value of Ayodhya.
The Ministry of External Affairs defended the Prime Minister, saying that there are many myths and references about Shri Ram and the places associated with him. Prime Minister Oli was emphasizing the importance of facts and research related to the Ramayana.
The Prime Minister of Nepal claimed on Monday that Ayodhya is a small village located in Birganj, not in India. He also called Lord Rama a Nepali. After this statement, Oli is seen to be surrounded in his own country. Former Nepal Prime Minister Babu Ram Bhattarai also tweeted, “Listen to the new Ramayana of Kalyug composed by Adi-poet Oli, visit Baikunth Dham directly.”
Let’s listen to the new Ramayana of the half-poet Olikrit Kali Yugin! Let’s travel directly to Baikunthadham! https://t.co/yDepnuFCFY

Oli’s former media advisor and professor Kundan Aryal tweeted – What did Oli say? Are they competing with India’s news channel?

Senior journalist of Nepal Amit Dhakal said tightly – The island of Sri Lanka is in Koshi, Nepal. Near this is also Hanuman Nagar, which must have been built by the Vanar Sena at the time of building the bridge.
The island of Sri Lanka is in Koshi. There is also Hanuman Nagar next to it, built by the monkey army when the bridge was built!

Former Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal Kamal Thapa tweeted – No Prime Minister should make such baseless and unproven statement. It seems that Oli wants to make relations between India and Nepal worse, while he should work to end the tension.
It is not at all appropriate for such nonsense, unconfirmed and unproven things to come from the PM’s level. It seems that the PM’s focus is on deteriorating rather than improving relations with India. https://t.co/jzP5hcH4qu

Ayodhya’s saints were also angered by Oli’s statement. He said that the Nepali PM has made such a statement under pressure from China. Mahant Dinendra Das, a member of the Ram Mandir Trust, said that Lord Ram was born on the banks of the Saryu River in Ayodhya. Yes, it is true that Sita ji was from Nepal, but to claim that Lord Rama is Nepali is absolutely wrong.
Oli has lost mental balance: Abhishek Manu Singhvi
Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi tweeted – Nepali PM Oli has lost his mental balance. They are puppets, speaking the lines of China. What they are speaking has never been said on behalf of Nepal. Ayodhya is hundreds of km away from Nepal, but they are telling him their share.
#Oli#NepalPM seems 2hv lost his mental balance or is puppet &parrot like mouthing lines scripted by desperate #Chinese. 1st he claimed territories never earlier claimed by #Nepal. Now he relocates #Ram#Sita#Ayodhya & #RamRajya a few hundred miles from Ayodhya inside Nepal!

Twitter users also made fun
One user wrote – Oli will one day tweet that New York is located in Nepal, not America. The real Australia is also in Nepal. The real Paris, Tokyo, London, Berlin, Las Vegas, Islamabad are all in Nepal itself.

Oli called Ram a Nepali
Oli had said at an event on Bhanu Jayanti at his residence that Lord Ram was a Nepali, not an Indian. He also said that the real Ayodhya is not in India but in Birganj, Nepal. He also accused India of cultural repression. Oli said that Nepal’s contribution to science was always ignored.
