Indian cricket has suffered a lot in the last four months due to Corona virus. BCCI’s Apex Committee meeting will be held on Friday 17 July in view of efforts to bring cricket back on track. This meeting is likely to discuss future visits, facilities available at the National Cricket Academy and the economic condition of domestic cricketers in the Corona era.

Apart from this, the 2021 T20 World Cup and the tax problem related to it, Bihar cricket, recruitment of staff in the board will also be an issue. Apart from this, issues like promotion of digital service are also included in BCCI and IPL.

    A BCCI source said,

You cannot put one over the other. As you know, FTP is very important and it is also important to discuss how to take it forward after the cancellation of several series and at the same time it is important to give equal importance to domestic cricket. As we know that our president is very vocal about protecting the interests of domestic players and it should be so.

    They said,

Apart from the need to prepare according to the international plan and move forward with it, there is a need to give a major shape to the domestic structure. We have to find a way to ensure that we can resume domestic cricket as soon as we get the green signal from the government. IPL is important in this case. We have to take a final decision on the venue for the 13th edition of the league.

NCA facilities will also be an issue

When asked about the discussion of NCA facilities, a BCCI source said,

This will also be an important topic of discussion because we have a huge land and we can build three huge stadiums based on international standards. Therefore, the progress made so far and which are the areas that need to be worked on will also be discussed when we meet tomorrow.

Regarding the T20 World Cup and its tax related problem, he said,

We will discuss the issue of tax exemption as we have time till December so do not expect any decision tomorrow.

Let us know that due to ICC not taking decision on Twenty-Twenty World Cup, BCCI is not able to decide the schedule of IPL. In the event of the cancellation of the Twenty-Twenty World Cup, the BCCI may organize the IPL between September and November.
