West Indies beat England by 4 wickets in the first match of the three-match series to take a 1-0 lead in the series. West Indies had a 200-run challenge to win on the last day of the first Test, which the team achieved by losing 6 wickets. However, West Indies fast bowler Grabial, who took 9 wickets in the match, was adjudged Man of the Match.
During the entire Test match, a great game performance was seen by the West Indies. England won the toss and decided to bat first in the match, but due to rain, only 17.4 overs were played on the first day. England bowlers tried their best to bring the match into their court on the last day. For England, Archer took three, Stokes took two and Wood took one wicket. The last two matches of the series will be played at The Old Trafford ground in Manchester.
