Kathmandu Torrential rains in western Nepal killed 12 people in separate incidents of landslides on Thursday. 19 people are missing. 10 people were injured, who are undergoing treatment. Narayani and other major rivers are in spate due to the rains that have been taking place for the last 48 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon rains are not expected to be relieved for the next three days.
Police said on Friday that seven people, including three children, were killed in Sarangkot and Hemjan area of Pokhara City area in Kaski district. 5 of them died due to landslides in Sarangkot due to the arrival of a house. 10 people were injured here, who are undergoing treatment. Apart from this, 3 people of a family were killed in Basishahar of Lamjung district. At the same time, 2 other people died in Athbiscot area of Rukum district.
Situation like flood in Sidhupalchok
Landslides in Jajarkot district have left 12 houses missing and 12 people missing from Myagdi district. Sindhupalchok also has flood-like conditions.
