Money Heist, Modern Family, Shots Please, and More: April 2020 TV Guide to Hotstar, Netflix and Amazon

The biggest TV title of March – The Mandalorian – was gifted two weeks early for Disney + Hotstar’s (botched) beta roll-out, which now officially launches on Friday. Star Wars fans are already in no doubt, so you won’t find it below. April also saw a return to confusing sci-fi Done by And Jason Bateman-led Ozark for their respective third seasons. The former continues through March, as has been the case with The Wire’s producer for another HBO series, The Plot Against America. Joining them in April is a jam-packed list of new and returning TVs, and yet we are not able to include some (such as Killing Eve) that are not aired weekly in India.

Disney + Hotstar has five new titles – from the last few episodes of Modern Family to Cate Blanchett and Phoebe-Waller Bridge’s new shows – despite not having a single new Disney + original series. Netflix also has five. Money Heist is easily the most talked about title, but there is promise in the hands of Mindy Kaling and Veer Das, who are portraying their lives in one way or another. And if it’s local content, then you have two of those on Amazon’s offer: four more shots please return !, and another from the house of viral fever (TVF).

House before dark
