Netflix's Yasuke Releases New Trailer And Poster With Lots Of Spoilers

Netflix’s new original anime Yasuke premieres this week and the most recent trailer showed a bit of what we will see in the series: Giant robots?

After causing quite a stir with Cannon Busters on the streaming service in 2019, series creator LeSean Thomas returns to Netflix with a new original effort on Yasuke .

Building on the African samurai legend who once worked with Nobunaga Oda, Thomas worked with Studio MAPPA (the studio behind the latest season of Shingeki no Kyojin, Jujutsu Kaisen, and more major hits) to bring the new series to life with the help of the Oscar nominee, LaKeith Stanfield, and more talents.

This new anime series (with a total of six episodes) will arrive on Netflix on April 29, 2021. To prepare fans, the franchise celebrated the premiere with a new full trailer and poster that showcases more of what we will see in the series.

About the new Netflix anime

LeSean Thomas serves as Executive Producer and Director of Studio MAPPA. Character designs for the Yasuke anime are provided by Takeshi Koike (Redline, Lupine the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine), and the new anime features music composed by Grammy-nominated artist Flying Lotus.
