The next chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Following the success of WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has launched today on Disney +, the second series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This time we follow Anthony Mackie’s Falcon and Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier.
But is this Marvel series worth it, given that we’ve already seen quite a lot of both characters in the film series? If we have to believe the reviewers, it is. At the time of writing, the series is at a whopping 97% on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer after 62 reviews.
Stan brings depth
“Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan are in top form, with the latter really getting the chance to star as Bucky struggling to find his place in the world. His peaceful sabbatical in Wakanda as the White Wolf is over, so what? what happens when he is confronted with the sins of his past? That’s a question this series seems to want to answer, “ ComicBookMovie.com said.
Complexity through Mackie
“For Mackie – a prolific actor, who many first noticed in his role in Half Nelson fifteen years ago, this is finally a time for him to shine. Mackie’s work in the Marvel films has always been strong, but somewhat underexposed, given the size of his talent. What is striking is that he can add a lot of complexity, knows Variety.
All in all, the first episode is written very positively. The series would consist of “only” six episodes of about 45 to 55 minutes. Below is another preview of the series of which the first episode is already online.
