Mumbai. Rajat Mukherjee, the director of the film Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, based on the road and romance starring Manoj Bajpayee, died on Sunday due to a kidney disease. He was around 58 years of age. Producer Aneesh Ranjan, a close friend of Mukherjee, said that Mukherjee breathed his last in Jaipur. He went there to celebrate Holi, but was stuck there after the nationwide lockdown was announced due to the corona virus. Ranjan said that he started having respiratory problems about a month ago. He then got the Covid-19 examined.

Doctors said that there was an imbalance in their sodium potassium levels. He told PTI- Mukherjee also had kidney and heart problems. One of his kidneys was removed 12 to 15 days ago. He used to come to his house after dialysis. On Saturday, he went for dialysis and returned around 8 pm.
The producer said, the wife caring for him felt that something was wrong. He was then called to an ambulance and taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead. Mukherjee’s friends, including Manoj Bajpayee, filmmaker Anubhav Sinha, Hansal Mehta and actress Urmila Matondkar, have paid tribute to him.
