The fourth season of the teen witch-based series will be the last.
LOS ANGLES.- Sad news came from Netflix today, as the streaming platform announced the cancellation of “The Hidden World of Sabrina”.
The fourth and final season of the show based on the iconic teenage witch from Archie’s magazines will premiere this year. The production stars Kiernan Shipka, Ross Lynch, Miranda Otto, Chance Perdomo, and Lucy Davis.
Netflix assured that the eight episodes with which they will close the series will have a “creepy, sexy and supernatural series finale.”
The story will conclude with the Greendale coven’s fight against a new, much larger threat that “Sabrina Spellman” had faced in her 16 years of life.
“Working at ‘The Hidden World of Sabrina’ has been an incredible honor from day one,” show runner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said in a statement. “The cast, starting with Kiernan as everyone’s favorite teenage witch, has been an absolute joy. I am more than grateful to the team, writers, editors, assistants, and everyone for pouring so much love into this dark dream of a show. I am also grateful to our Netflix partners Warner Bros. Berlanti Television and Archie Comics for allowing us to tell the story we wanted to tell, the way we wanted to tell it. We can’t wait for everyone to see Part Four. “
So far, the exact release date of the last part of the series is unknown.
